We tried to top off our last episode and almost made it. We cover some interesting topics including iPhone controlled cars, universal phone chargers, the open internet, LastPass, cloud computing, and Ubuntu 9.10 + MORE!Dennis Houseknecht
I just posted Security Corner article, though, on Lastpass. You can download it at https://lastpass.com/
I have probably tried every password manager available and this one is my FAVORITE.
Just a quick rundown of features:
- Cross-platform – Windows, Mac, Linux
- Cross-browser – IE, FF, Chrome (in alpha), Safari
- Imports from IE, FF, and just about every other password manager
- Can generate one-time passwords in advance for use in public locations
- Can be put onto a usb for portability
- For $12 per year, you get advanced features – two factor authentication with sesame or YUBIKEY, mobile versions for Windows Mobile, BB, iPhone, Android
This application is not super-stealthy,but could spy on your conversations if someone installs it on your BB
Microsoft says that using the upgrade edition for a full installation is a no-no
USB 3.0 and SATA 6 coming soon
